The City of Bath, in partnership with the Bath Water District, is undertaking a coordinated infrastructure improvement project along Denny Road. This project includes the replacement of the sewer main, manholes, and the Bath Water District’s water main. These upgrades are essential to maintaining reliable utility services and preparing the road for future paving.
Tuesday, July 1: Minor drainage work near the Denny/Crawford intersection. Minimal disruption expected.
Wednesday, July 2 – Thursday, July 3: Replacement of the sewer main and manholes. The sewer line runs down the center of Denny Road and is located at significant depth, requiring a full-width excavation.
No through traffic will be permitted between Crawford and Heath intersections during this time. Residents are advised to plan alternate routes.
Week of July 7: Any remaining sewer work will be completed. The roadway will not be paved immediately, allowing time for the trench to settle properly.
Paving: Grading and paving will take place later this summer. A separate notice will be posted with the confirmed date. During paving, no through traffic will be allowed, but local access will be coordinated.

All open trench areas will be backfilled and made passable ahead of the July 4th holiday weekend.
We will continue to share updates as the project progresses. For the latest information, follow the City of Bath on Facebook and visit this page regularly.
